Romantic Relationship With More People...

In case you have been living in a cave, and if you have been living in a cave you probably already know this because open marriage is HUGE among the cave-dwelling set, polaymory is defined as the desire for a romantic relationship with more than two people with the knowledge and consent of all involved parties. For many (I'm looking at you Ted Cruz) this is quite possibly the worst thing possible, as it points toward the moral decay of our country and the destruction of the precious institution known as marriage (at least that's how the bible sees it). For others (and this is where it will get really interesting re: our current presidential election), this is the greatest thing ever and allows interested parties to have their cake and eat it to, as they say.

Hey, They Are Liberals After All

While there are many theories as to why open marriage and polaymory have become more mainstream in the United States, many argue that two people, and two people alone are responsible for this monumental shift in societies social fabric. You guessed it, Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton and the former POTUS himself, Bill Clinton. In one of her now infamously leaked e-mails, Hillary Clinton spoke of legalizing Polyamory and of viewing both Polygamy and Polyamory as a Civil Right. Some might attempt to deconstruct her belief system in the political arena. Of course, Hillary wants to legalize polyamory, she is a liberal after all, and is simply trying to to tap into a group of disenfranchised voters and get a leg up on ultra liberal Bernie Sanders, and ultimately defeat Donald Trump or whatever nincompop the Grand Old Party deems worthy of The White House. Others, have a much more shall we say, nuanced view.

As has been bludgeoned to death since the early 1990's, Bill Clinton likes to cheat, A LOT. Gennifer Flowers, Monica Lewinsky, Phyllis Diller (ok, I made that last one up), there is NOBODY that Slick Willy does not have some fantasy of shall we say getting more acquainted with in a casual setting. What has been less widely discussed is that, in reality Bill has never really cheated because Hillary is A.) Completely Ok with this, and B.) Quite possibly either a Lesbain or A-Sexual. If there is one thing Hillary Clinton cares about, it's power and reaching the ultimate heights in Washington. If there is one thing that Hillary DOES NOT care about its her husband's extra-cirrucular activites and where he sticks Slick Willie Junior.

 

 

In the 1990's this whole idea was rather scandalous and was worthy of talk of impeachment and divorce. Twenty some-odd years later in a world where EVERYTHING is ok, and Tinder Rules, this idea, that Polyamory is ok and actually favorable is prevalent. The debate as to why this is so, and the overall morality (not to mention psychological impact) of this issue is another story for another time. For now, let's simply thank the Clinton's for their assistance in making this type of lifestyle more mainstream, and bask in the glow of multiple partners, blue dresses, and all the psychological distress, not to mention STD's, and financial obligations that come with them!!!
