Players Sacked Over Slurs

Written by Sebastian

sackedplayersEver notice how athletes always end up in the news for being perverts and rapists? Off the top of my head, you've got Ben Roethlisberger, Kobe Bryant, Darren Sharper, Ched Evans and… Well, I could go on, but I think you get my point. I think there's something about fame and about making your living by playing a game that can go to your head. It can make you see other humans as lesser and it can make you abuse them. It can make you act like an abusive, ignorant idiot.

Earl Fame Can Create Fools

Recently, three Leicester City football players (that's soccer for us Americans) did just that. Those boys' names are James Pearson, Adam Smith and Tom Hopper. Those are the names of three entitled, racist, over-payed idiots.

I'm not just picking on rich athletes, though, I promise. Those three boys are sick, disgusting humans who went to Thailand and hired three prostitutes to have an orgy with on camera. It's not the orgy or the prostitutes that makes them disgusting, it's what they did during the video. While the camera was rolling, those three boys proved their ignorance by spouting racial slurs and laughing about it the entire time they had sex with the girls.

I just want to say this: If you're famous, perverted and racist, at least try not to be dumb enough to provide the world with video evidence of those facts. How stupid do you have to be to film something like that? To share the video online with your friends? Moreover, how ignorant do you have to be to still be racist in today's society?

Thai girls were referred to as “minging,” “slit eye” and more.

Racial slurs doesn't quite describe the words that rolled out of these kids' mouths, mind you. During the orgy video, which has since been removed thanks to their PR cleanup, the Thai girls were referred to as “minging,” “slit eye” and more. They spout these disgusting racial terms throughout the entire video, both on and off camera. Sometimes, when the camera is focused on one of the players, you hear another one off camera asking his fellow ignoramus to “share the slit eye” or telling a girl “lick it, minging” for example.

Racism By Kids Is Still Racism

The kind of person that can walk into another country, experience its culture and then throw around racial slurs doesn't deserve half of the air we allow them to breathe. When that same person goes so far as to hire prostitutes in that country and then verbally abuse them, maybe it's time we don't allow them any breath at all. Did I mention that the boys did this after the team was invited to Thailand as ambassadors? It's safe to say that I'll be watching this case, waiting to be upset as these privileged “stars” don't get half of the legal punishment they deserve.

I guess there is an ounce of justice, though. Leicester City decided to fire the players despite the manager being the proud father of one of the boys. The boys were only sacked after a “formal investigation” was performed on the video, though. As though a formal investigation is required when you see a bunch of privileged, racist pricks naked and laughing as they abuse three women.

Really, though, is that justice? Or did Leicester City fire the boys because they had no choice? This is the same team that wears “It's Amazing Thailand” as an ad on the back of their usual jerseys. I really don't think the boys were fired because of morality or because people cared about their racist crap. It was probably just a PR manager pointing out that the team would be a laughing stock if the boys weren't cut.

At the end of the day, it isn't just athletes that are disgusting with their racism and sexual abuse. People around the globe remind me every day that they're awful. Rape, kidnapping, racism, torture and murder happen all of the time. I guess it's no surprise when three idiots on a soccer team just happen to be part of the massive group of bad people in the world.

Maybe Wanting Common Decency Is Too Much To Ask

Sometimes, you would just think that famous people would think twice before they let crap like that get out. Or, you know, maybe even be decent people to set an example for the rest of us. But James Pearson, Adam Smith and Tom Hopper reminded us all that, if we want them to be decent people, we're asking too much.
